surprisingly great stay!
helpful staff excellent service invaluable help
The staff were genuinely helpful! daniel at reception assisted me with extending my stay due to unforeseen circumstances. I couldn't have asked for better service. ruby, also at reception, was very supportive. Her help was invaluable.

Excellent stay overall

I stayed for four nights and found the staff helpful. The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items. The onsite pub was convenient for an evening meal. The parking was easy and free, a plus.
The water pressure was low in my ground floor room. This made showering less comfortable. I hope this is fixed soon.

large bed clean hotel friendly staff
the room had a large bed, and the hotel ensured cleanliness. i also appreciated the great breakfast offered . the breakfast service was particularly lovely, with very helpful and friendly staff (they made a great impression!).
i noticed the room lacked a fridge, which would have been useful.

the stables pub is a part of the hotel, presenting an option for drinks and entertainment. live music is available at the stables pub during the weekend. this provides an extra layer of amusement without leaving the premises.

one particular barman on duty saturday 22nd was friendly and efficient. he remained cool-headed despite bar congestion and internet issues. his service made our night more enjoyable.

blue badge convenient parking adjustable beds slow cistern refill cracked bathroom sink
The hotel had plenty of parking. It included convenient blue badge spaces. The sleep quality was very good. The adjustable beds also contributed to this.
The cistern refill in the bathroom WAS SO slow. I called reception to have someone come up because I thought it was broken. The bathroom sink was cracked. The shower area had mould and previous guest hair.

free parking friendly staff quality beer ample room
the hotel had free parking onsite and convenient regular buses into the city. i ate a generous portion of well-prepared food in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly. i also enjoyed a couple of good quality beers at the on-site pub. my standard room was ample and tastefully furnished.
i found that the room design was a bit off with the toilet on a side wall. the mirror was not above the dressing table making it difficult for hair styling. the towel radiator in the bathroom was not functional, inconvenient.

I found the buffet breakfast to have many options, from a full english to continental choices suiting many tastes. I noted fresh honey straight from the hotel's own beehives. an on-site pub served great food at reasonable prices adding to the dining flexibility.

The staff were kind. They assisted with extra nights due to family circumstances. assistance from daniel at reception was great. Ruby from reception was also very helpful. This added to the comfort of my overall stay.

wide variety helpful staff lovely grounds
Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. The on-site pub provided a convenient option for dining. The reception staff were helpful upon arrival and throughout my stay. The building and grounds were quite lovely. I found them very well kept.
The bedroom radiator emitted loud gurgling noises early in the morning. This did disturb my sleep slightly.

dom at reception was polite and helpful! ellie at the stables bar was also very cute and chatty, both are real assets. the food in the stables bar was delicious and very tasty. the whole trip was very pleasurable and comfortable overall.
the heating was not really working, i felt a bit chilly at night.

staff members are friendly and professional, dom and ellie are great examples. the reception staff were superb and helped with some last minute printing, so helpful. the service at breakfast was very good, the gentleman who seats you is friendly.

the room was spacious with tv and chairs! the room was cool, despite the hot weather outside. the bathroom was excellent. the hotel has double-glazed windows which block out outside noise and keep it very quiet.
